Eat your heart out Chicago

...i said it. Ross and Nate finished their last little bit of guitar parts for the Snowing album! Fun for me because when you have dudes who shred, an AC30, a Fender Bassman, a 57, a 121, and a U87 it is going to sound good as heck. It does. So guitars easy, vocals done, who will John Galms melodic rasp not try to start a pit with in the mix? We thought about it for a second and immediately called Dave Sampson from High Tide Hotel and Kevin from Joint Cheifs of Math. They killed it. Dave's Owen with balls sense of pitch and Kevin's intense, friendly, yeti style vocals was the Tabasco on an already perfect burrito. Stay tuned and u will be the first have the newly leaked snowing record before they have a copy.

I got to spend four in August days with best fiends and lucky for me , band mates writing and scratch tracking jams for a new Algernon Cadwallader Lp. During those pale ale, head nodding, pizza jams we also finished a song that will be on small run tape comp called (Lifeonanisland.org) with Francis Hop Along singing a live jammed out version of “Look Down...” that was recorded while rehearsing for a friends wedding. We also took first place in a high school talent show for our rendition of “This Boy (Ringo’s Theme)” that will show up sometime somewhere, i'm sure. The next time i get to mic Tank’s vintage Slingerlands will be in November when we finally start the new record.

Living only off of coffee, a pinch of Tom Selleck's mustache sweat, and love for all things rock I have been locked away from society mixing the new Monument record. While these guys might not be from Philly , they are close enough to my heart of hearts that I will have all meals in studio B(my room) mixn'/rockn' out to these tunes all day long. In case you are unfamiliar with the DC foursome Gabe, Dan, Brandon, and Anton have their back catalogue ready for human consumption @ the link below. What a great record to mix! My first successful use of Big Muff in a recording, constant knob turning on the new Sound Workshop 1208b with "super eq's", and some re- amping have painted some new sonic landscapes for my ears. I am a day away from completion until i send it to them and they tell me to start over.
